‘Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life’ -Pablo Picasso

Kungchinchin is almost as passionate about writing, cooking, music and philosophy as she is about her life’s work – painting.

Kungchinchin’s interest in painting was sparked at age five, when she received a tin Staedtler set from her father. She quickly came to realise the intriguing possibilities of its 48 watercolour pencils – wet blending, colour mixing, colour gradations, and more. This hands-on experience eventually led her to develop a range of artistic skills in oil, acrylic, watercolour, pastel painting, ceramics, and ‘Painter’ digital art.

Versed in art and design, Kungchinchin is the founder of Double Rice Work Company Limited, a lecturer in Illustrations and Comics at CUSCS, and a artist. She is almost as passionate about writing, cooking, music and philosophy as she is about her life’s work – painting.

After gaining recognition in art exhibitions and competitions over the years, Kungchinchin is releasing her first book of illustrations at the end of 2012.
